Soul-nourishing conversations

featuring everyday women, for everyday women.

The stories we tell ourselves.

Sometimes the stories we tell ourselves aren’t kind or true, and they hold us back from living fully and authentically. The thoughts that make up these stories are called limiting beliefs. They come from family, friends, society, and even from ourselves.

On the Imperfectly Phenomenal Woman podcast, everyday women share stories of what has held them back. We explore their relatable life experiences together and come up with new narratives to live by at the end of the conversation.

Meet the host, Lauren.

Good day good people! I’m Lauren Williams, the Founder, Producer, and Host of the Imperfectly Phenomenal Woman podcast. I never thought I’d be here doing this podcasting thing. I thought I wasn’t good enough and that no one would listen (yea…I have plenty of limiting beliefs too) but I was very, very wrong.

As this podcast has evolved over the years I’ve become more clear about what I want to accomplish with it. I want listeners to know that 1) you aren’t alone in what you are feeling and experiencing and 2) that who you are is already enough. Not only do I care about listeners, but another big part of what I care most about is each guest that is willing to share their story. I believe that everyday women have so much wisdom to share with one another. So it’s really important for me to create an intentional space for each woman I interview to feel seen and heard.

Remember, we are complex. We are beautiful. We feel broken. We make mistakes. We’re trying our best. We are successful. We have no idea what we’re doing. We have great ideas. We are imperfect and we are phenomenal. All at the same time, and that’s ok. I believe that every woman is imperfectly phenomenal, and that accepting this duality is a gift that allows women to simultaneously embrace their flaws and their power.

Shoutout to God for supporting me in the making of this podcast!

Love yourself well!
